Thanks to http://princessofsomething.wordpress.com/ Shiloh and I did a book project this week. I love to read and Shiloh has obviously inherited my love of books. Her favorite book lately is Only One Me by Deedra Scherm. It’s a board book (so Shiloh doesn’t tear it up in two days) and it talks about how there are so many things in the world, but “God created only one you and only one me.”
The rules for The Book Experience With Stinky And Bubs is to read a book with your kids and then make a project to go with it. Obviously, because of Shiloh’s age, I couldn’t make it too complicated. I tried to find an idea on the web, but didn’t see anything interesting. I ended up coming up with an idea on my own.
I let Shiloh look through some old magazines and pick out people for me to cut out. After we cut out enough pictures, we glued them on a piece of construction paper. Shiloh helped by handing me the next picture and showing me where to glue it. Then we glued a picture of Shiloh in the middle and this was the end result:
(I think she was proud of it. What do you think?)

What a good idea!! She does look proud
I’m right there with you on that goal-hot for Christmas! Woo hoo!

Kristen: Okay, it’s a deal. Let’s both lose as much weight as possible by Christmas. That’s doable, I think. (I would rather lose it by Shiloh’s birthday, but then I would only have one month…)

Looks like fun.– and what memories! Do you scrapbook?

Amy: I do scrapbook. This little project wasn’t technically for a scrapbook, but I thought I could put it in one anyway. Maybe put the pictures I took of Shiloh with the book on the opposite page.
I love scrapbooking, in fact my sister and I plan on doing some this weekend, but I just never seem to find the time. I want to get my stuff organized so I can do more. It’s difficult when it takes 40 minutes just to set up to do anything.
